Abstract:
Temasek Holdings was a Government Linked Corporation (GLC), owned directly by Singapore's finance ministry - its sole shareholder. Temasek, like the other GLCs of Singapore, had played a vital role in the country's spectacular economic development. Saturation in the local economy resulted in Temasek to look beyond the borders and invest globally. However, Temasek's government-linked factor was coming in the way of its investment strategy.
